About the Horizon Scan

Intelligence for Climate Adaptation is an ongoing collaboration initiated in 2024 by the Urban Tech Hub at Cornell Tech and UrbanAI. The purpose of this project is to provide a curated body of knowledge on anticipated developments in AI their application to urban climate adaptation and resilience.

Disclosure on the Use of Generative AI

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools were used extensively in the development of this resource:

  • Research: Summarization of documents, including identification of key relevant insights. All AI-generated insights were independently verified by human researchers.

  • Content Creation: Composition of drafts, including synthesis of contributing signals and trends. All AI-generated drafts were reviewed and revised by human researchers for accuracy and academic integrity.

  • Illustrations: Supplemental images were created using generative AI tools. Each generated visual element was evaluated for accuracy and appropriately labeled.

The research team maintains full responsibility for the content, conclusions, and accuracy of this work. This disclosure aims to maintain transparency regarding AI tool usage while affirming that human oversight and validation were maintained throughout the research process.
